Cheat day

Okay, so today was my cheat day because I REALLY wanted to go to happy hour. Two weeks of continuous work seems to be lost today. After I drank as much free beer as I can handle (and still walk straight and classy in wedges), I ate way too much hibachi (and white sauce :( they always get me with the damn white sauce!). This is not okay. Cheat days are not meant to go crazy. I was doing so good, too!

On top of it, tomorrow I have to spend my day in a bikini with about 50 toothpick thin girls at a lake house.

Again, this has not been the smartest idea I have ever had. It's almost 1 a.m. and I am just about ready to run to the 24 hour fitness center in my apartment complex.

Wish me luck.

Switch up your cardio in the morning with this!

My downstairs neighbors are going to kill me, but fitness first!

Who feels me?

PB2!!!!!!

Okay, so I am officially obsessed with PB2. It is a powdered peanut butter. It has 85% less fat calories than any other peanut butter and it is VERY good for you. It curbs my hunger like no other. If you look on Pinterest, they have tons of recipes you can use PB2 in. I tried mixing my PB2 with a few scoops of Greek yogurt and a drizzle of agave. I put it in the freezer and it made a creamy peanut butter treat! It tasted almost like Snickers ice cream without the chocolate. It was literally the next best thing (we obviously cannot eat Snickers ice cream, so lets be creative here). I have been putting it in my protein shakes and am so happy with the results.

Black Beans and Brown Rice

I love me some of this! I put Miso Mayo and a little salsa in mine to kick it up a notch!

Asian Chicken and Broccoli Slaw

Cook some ground chicken in a skillet, then throw in some broccoli slaw and low fat and low carb sesame ginger dressing. Cook it a little more. Then you're done!

This is an awesome dinner that I eat at least once a week and save the rest for a few left overs. It makes a lot for a little money! Being in college, I like to save every penny I can!

Let me know how your healthy dinners turned out!

My lunch today!

Brown rice, black beans, salsa, Greek yogurt, Miso Mayo, Sriracha and shredded chicken on a whole wheat tortilla.

So good and so good for you!

Fitness is not the numbers on a scale

I don't own a scale. I don't need one. I don't want to see progress in numbers. I don't care about how much I weigh. I care about sculpting. I want my abs back. I want a tighter bottom half. I want to be able to see definition in my arms and back. A scale can't tell me that. Scales make me judge myself and I'm not going to let that happen. I'm at the point in my life where I have decided to be thankful for my body, and in order to show how thankful I am, I must keep it healthy and keep myself moving.

Don't ever give up.

What a morning....

I rode my bike 2.5 miles (not far at all!) to the gym at my school and proceeded to projectile vomit 5 times in front of a group of students and parents touring the school. So embarrassing.

Lessons learned:
- EAT before you decide to work out. There is no more "forgetting to eat" or being "too busy to eat." You eat to survive.
- If I am going to have a tough work out, DON'T RIDE MY BIKE TO THE GYM.

I have done smarter things in my life. I promise that I am not an idiot.
